Size 8 preloved platform shoes. Beige uPVC handpainted. Proper funky and original. Green and red on the front platform (big) and then white circles with spots and lines. Turquoise hearts with yellow spots and black lines surrounding the hearts on the bottom of the heels and also on the back of the shoe behind your heel. Ankle straps. Open toe shoes. The section over the front of your foot is yellow and purple striped and there is more design on the side of the shoes. Original design.

The Locarno.  Now there’s a Birmingham memory.  Some would say it was the best nightclub ever.  Who knows.

History.  The Locarno night clubs were part of the Mecca Leisure Group before it was sold out to the Rank Organisation.  There were clubs in several English towns.

They were ballrooms and dancehalls in the 1960s and 1970s and transitioned into nightclubs after that.  Pioneering at the time.

The Rank Organisation took over the Mecca Leisure Group in 1990.  Michael Guthrie was the Chief Executive at the time and he came from Bolton originally.  Micheal Guthrie then had a new venture called Pavillion.
