So many people take a job in good faith to find out that it is nothing like that what was advertised.  Companies are happy to ask for so much from a candidate and how much of that actually gets rolled out in a job?  If you are going to ask for qualifications and experience it may be a good idea to have a purpose for that request.

Businesses may say that they want to be confident that people can do things should situations arise.  That’s fine, so therein lies issues around job design, development and the projects or responsibilities that people will have.

It’s really worth thinking all this through so that people stay in their jobs for at least a while.  Some businesses may think that paying someone is enough and that they are not responsible for development and stretching a person.  But really if the relationship is to work then this should be factored in as to keep on recruiting people is very expensive and a business never gets to the point that they get the best out of someone either.

Lots of things can get in the way.  Managers who are not able to delegate, low trust culture, people not feeling secure and therefore not supporting each other.  All this will have an effect on people and a business.
